Held by Zoom on Sunday 27 February 2002

Headline report

Elected Officers:

Commodore – Roger Coppock

Vice Commodore – Paul Woodward

Hon Secretary – Chris Allcock

Treasurer – John Oldham

Membership Secretary – Kevin Morgan

Key points:  Membership remains steady with a small increase of 13 over last year – total memberhip 2184.   We are financially stable,  our annual surplus (ie income compared with expenditure) is slightly lower than last year, mainly due to increased cost of producing the Compass magazine and the members handbook.  Subscription remains unchanged at £22 PA

Volunteers needed

Over the coming yesr we will need volunteers to take over the following roles, either immediately where there is a vacancy, or by the next AGM when a number of the current officers stand down.   If you are interested, please contact the Commodore.

* Secretary     *   Membership Registrar     *  Advertising Manager     *   AGM Administrator     *    Boat Shows Coordinator     *    Membership Assistant

Honorary Membership Award

Honorary  membership of the MOA is awarded to those members who have supported the Association with distinction.   This year honorary membership has been awarded to Neil Eccles  for not only serving as Commodore (2008-2010)  but also many years supporting the General Committee and the Association as website editor, a role which he took up in 2001 and still maintains.

Joint President

We are delighted to announce that David Moody has agreed to become Joint President of the MOA alongside Bill Dixon

David will be well known to many of our members. His enthusiasm for the Association and encyclopaedic knowledge of Moody yachts is a unique resource. Owners of Moody yachts joining the MOA join a family so it is only fitting that we will have a member of the Moody family as our Joint President.
