Elected Officers:

Commodore – Paul Woodward (2nd year)*

Vice Commodore – Neil O’Connor (2nd year)*

Proposals 

 It was agreed that that the membership subscription would increase  to £26 per year from 2026

Richard Martin to be appointed independant examiner

Notes: 

 * The Commodore and Vice Commodore are elected for two years. Other officers normally serve for 3 years

Volunteers needed

Over the coming year we will need a volunteers to take over the following roles, either immediately where there is a vacancy, or by the next AGM when a number of the current officers stand down.   If you are interested, please contact the Commodore.

Our  guest speaker for the AGM dinner was Chris Durbin who gave a fascinating description of the 7 year war with France (1760-1767) which has shaped much of the modern world we see today,  redrawing national boundaries in Europe and in  in the Americas.  Chris has written some 16 historic novels based on this period.  The novels are historically accurate, but the period is described through the eyes of two principle characters, Royal Navy captains Carlisle and Hollbrook who are fictional

Part of the weekend attractions was a visit to the Historic Dockyard, the main attrations being the Mary Rose and its stunning museum,  the Victory and the Warrior, a vessel built at the transition between sail and steam

As part of out 40th Anniversary celebrations,  Branch and Chapter Captains were presented with flags flying our 40th anniversary logo to be displayed at rallys and musters.
