The format for the weekend is very similar to previous years.  Over the last few years the programme of events has been welcomed by all that have attended, so we expect another enjoyable weekend in Plymouth  in 2023. You are welcome to attend the whole weekend or just part of it.

Plymouth benefits from excellent road and rail links and is well known for its maritime heritage.  The city has many attractions which include Smeaton’s Tower and the original Eddystone lighthouse, which now stands on Plymouth Hoe.  Legend has it that on the Hoe in 1588, Drake insisted on finishing his game of bowls before engaging the Spanish Armada.  A must-do visit is the Mayflower Steps, from which the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the New World in 1620.

Not far from the Mayflower Steps is the National Marine Aquarium where sharks and rays glide in deep tanks.

The Naval History of Plymouth runs deep and it is still a busy Naval port.

The AGM, lunch and dinner are all being held within the hotel complex, which includes a heated pool.

The AGM team will coordinate group bookings for visits to the local attractions. We will contact members to confirm bookings and collect payments nearer to the event.

Please indicate your interest in attending the local attractions on your AGM registration form so that we can gauge demand and discuss with the venues.

If you have any other questions about the AGM 2023 event, you can email the AGM team on agm.administrator2023@moodyowners.org
